Jacqueline Fernandez is a Sri Lankan actor from Manama, Bahrain and was raised in a multi-ethnic home. The father of Jacqueline's Elroy Fernandez comes originally from Sri Lanka (Sinhalese - Catholic)and her mother Kim is a Malaysian. Her brothers are younger and one older sister. In the 1980s, her parents emigrated to Bahrain in protest against the civil war on Sri Lanka. In the end, she was born and raised in Bahrain. Schooling was finished at Bahrain and she received an Scholarship to an education at University of Sydney. There she earned a Media and Communications degree. In order to further her interest in cultures, languages and other languages, she joined the Berlitz language schools in which she could master Spanish and also improve her French and Arabic. In 2006, she won the Miss Sri Lanka for Miss Universe 2006 in March 2006, and was also a contestant in Miss Universe 2006. In the wake of being crowned Miss Sri Lanka in 2006 Padukone was able to begin her work in the world of television. She was the host of the program Lanka Business Report which focused on business in Sri Lanka. Padukone was the daughter of badminton champion Prakash Padukone. Padukone grew her life in Bangalore, but she is a native of Copenhagen. As a teenager, she played in national level badminton tournaments. She later resigned from playing and went on to become a fashion designer. Padukone is born in Mangalorean background Her mother language is Konkani. Padukone Village is situated in Kundapura Taluk within the Udupi District of Karnataka within India. Prakash Padukone has retired as a world-renowned athlete in badminton, while her mother is also a travel agent.
